“Celebrating 200 years of the Olmsted Legacy: From the Capitol to the Cathedral”
Dede Petri, President of the National Association for Olmsted Parks, and chairman of AHG’s Olmsted Woods Restoration project ,will discuss the upcoming national celebration, Olmsted 200, marking the bicentennial in 2022 of the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted She will explore significant Olmsted contributions to the landscape design of the nation’s capital, with a particular focus on FLO Jr, son of the famed founder of American landscape architecture, who helped design the grounds of Washington National Cathedral.
